Next week we are Tuesday (Sept 5th) and Thursday (Sept 30th) , 630pm at St Pats

Huge Playoff Display vs Ste-Anne’s

Both teams pulled off victories in their semi-final games. With the 2xv away at Ste-Anne’s and the 1xv at Twin Elm the club pulled out 2 victories making it a full Blues vs Montreal Irish in the finals on September 9th. Big day for David Rapai with the 2xv having a grand return to form after a year or two out of the game and the Front Row would be proud of Ryan Surgenor’s 5 try performance for the 1xv.

1xv: 55-24

2xv: 39-24

Message from Carleton and uOttawa

EORU Rugby Community!

2017/2018 promises to be an exciting year for university men’s rugby in Ottawa!

Last year was the inaugural season for the Scholar’s Rugby league. The league was a success, fielding 9 university men’s teams, including Carleton University and the University of Ottawa. We expect another successful season. The website for Scholar’s Rugby can be found here, https://www.scholarsrugby.com/ It will be updated in the coming weeks.

We would love to have the Eastern Ontario Rugby Community come out and watch a game or two – if you can only make one game make it the October 14th game where UOttawa will host Carleton at Matt Anthony field.

Both Carleton University and University of Ottawa have competitive programs and are building for the future. To that end we would like to invite all local rugby clubs attend the end of season championship Nov 4/5th where all league teams will be present, to share information about your club with our athletes. It is critical our athletes are playing summer rugby.
We are sharing our respective training camp and program information, if you could share with your athletes, that would be appreciated.

Carleton University will be starting training August 21st, 2017 for more information you can contact Andrew Fawcett at  andrewjfawcett@cmail.carleton.ca

University of Ottawa will start training camp August 28, 2017 details can be found here https://www.geegees.ca/en/sports/clubs/rugby-m or contact Stephanie Crawley at stephaniecrawley@videotron.ca

Yours in rugby,
Coaching staff of Carleton University and University of Ottawa men’s rugby teams.
